Experimental Characterization of a Functionally Graded Composite Using Recycled Steel Fiber

Many industries have recently focused on cost-effective materials with good mechanical properties. Steel fiber reinforced cementitious composites proven their performance in industrial and structural components. The concept of recycled fiber-reinforced FGM is used as an alternative construction material, which can be one the proposed solutions. To achieve these objectives, experimental program has been developed. A composite based local was strengthened two designs; over entire cross-section other only tensile zone. We also substituted a functional gradient material fibers considering following volume fractions: 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5%. This paper investigates feasibility using from waste steel wool manufacturing reinforcement. characterized properties ultrasonic pulse velocity, compressive strength, flexural shear strength. results show that corrugated are ideal choice to increase composite, including improvement behaviors. Therefore, investigated FGC could valuable tool optimize design process various applications make production mechanically environmentally economical possible.
